Things to Know
Is a hair transplant treatment permanent?
For the most part, the answer is yes. As long as the procedure is professionally and thoroughly executed by a renowned and experienced hair transplant surgeon, then there’s no reason for any major complications that could jeopardize your ability to enjoy thick and beautiful tresses for the rest of your life. That said, there are a few mitigating factors such as genetics that are beyond anyone’s control that you should always take into consideration before going into this type of procedure.
Do hair transplants look natural?
This depends on the skills and experience of the physician who performs the hair transplant. The overall goal is to create a natural looking appearance so that other people won’t be able to detect that the patient underwent any kind of hair transplant procedure. For the first few days, there will be some scarring, scabbing, and redness in the affected areas but this should clear up within five to seven days after the surgery. Once the scalp is completely healed, no one should be able to tell that you’ve had a hair transplant or relocation operation.
How long should I wait before consulting a fertility doctor?
In general, patients will seek advice from a fertility doctor after one year of trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant. The chances of a fertile couple conceiving a child in any given month (called the natural pregnancy rate) is around 20%; resulting in roughly ninety percent of couples becoming pregnant after one year of trying to conceive.
It’s recommended that the remaining 10 percent of couples consult a fertility specialist. In particular, women over thirty are encouraged to undergo a fertility treatment evaluation, after six months of attempting to conceive. And it may be beneficial for women over forty to meet with a fertility doctor shortly after deciding to try and have a child.
Am I a candidate for IVF?
There are a number of factors involved in determining if a patient is suitable for IVF treatment. Appropriate candidates often include couples who may experience:
Low sperm counts Endometriosis Problems with the uterus or fallopian tubes Ovulation disorders Sperm unable to penetrate or survive in the cervical mucus Other health or unexplained reproductive issues The only way to know for sure if in vitro fertilization is right for you is to undergo a complete exam and consultation with our professional team.
Will the weight loss last after gastric sleeve surgery?
The gastric sleeve surgery is a relatively new procedure and it is gaining rapid popularity worldwide. In the late 1980s and 1990s, surgeons started to do the sleeve gastrectomy as part of the duodenal switch operation. Over the years, surgeons noticed that gastric sleeve caused significant weight loss. In the late 2000s and early 2010s, this procedure became increasingly popular. Large datasets, with more than 5 years of follow-up after the surgery, showed sustained weight loss.
What are the advantages of the gastric sleeve versus the gastric bypass surgery?
The main advantage of gastric sleeve surgery is that it does not need to create a new connection between the stomach and small bowel (anastomosis). Long term complications are less likely to occur with the gastric sleeve procedure than they are with gastric bypass surgery. There is almost no risk for internal hernia or marginal ulcers after gastric sleeve surgery because there is no anastomosis. Both complications are most commonly associated with gastric bypass surgery. The chance of nutrient deficiency is also less likely with the gastric sleeve surgery than with gastric bypass surgery because there is no malabsorption.
Where is liposuction be performed?
Some common “problem” areas of the body where liposuction is performed includes:
Double Chin, Back of Neck, Bottom of Upper Arms, Female Breasts, Outer Thighs or Saddlebags, Bra Strap Area, Abdomen or Belly Pooch, Muffin Top, Love Handles, Male Breasts,

What are the symptoms of cataracts?
As cataracts form slowly, you may not notice them at first. Often, people only start to notice then they start to block out light. The main symptoms of cataracts include vision that is cloudy, blurry or foggy.
If you start to notice changes in the way you see colour, that could be another indicator that cataracts are beginning to develop in your eye. You could also experience problems driving at night, with glare from oncoming vehicles being a problem.
Other patients start to notice that they are experiencing double vision or that their usual glasses or contact lenses are not working well.
