What is Beard Transplant?
EyeBrow Transplant
An eyebrow transplant is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance or restore eyebrow hair density. This procedure involves transplanting hair follicles from a donor area (usually the scalp) to the eyebrows. The goal is to create fuller, natural-looking eyebrows, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals with thin, sparse, or missing eyebrow hair due to genetics, over-plucking, trauma, or medical conditions.
Procedure Overview
Consultation: The process begins with a consultation where the patient's goals, desired eyebrow shape, and density are discussed. The surgeon also assesses the donor area to determine the best source for hair follicles.
Donor Area Preparation: The donor area, typically the back of the scalp, is trimmed and numbed with local anesthesia.
Extraction: Hair follicles are extracted from the donor area using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method, which involves removing individual follicles to minimize scarring.
Recipient Area Preparation: The eyebrow area is also numbed, and small incisions are made at precise angles and directions to mimic natural eyebrow hair growth.
Implantation: The extracted hair follicles are meticulously implanted into the incisions in the eyebrows, ensuring that they follow the natural growth pattern of eyebrow hair.
Recovery: After the procedure, there may be some redness and swelling in the treated area. Tiny scabs will form around each transplanted follicle and typically fall off within a week to ten days.

The length of the procedure will depend on the number of grafts being transplanted, but most procedures take several hours to complete.
The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. After the procedure, you may experience some discomfort, but this can be managed with pain medication.
It can take several months to see the full results of a hair transplant. Initially, the transplanted hair may fall out, but it should start to regrow within a few months.
Like any surgical procedure, a hair transplant carries some risks, such as infection, bleeding, scarring, and nerve damage. However, these risks are rare and can be minimized by choosing a qualified and experienced surgeon.
